The remote measurement of substances in the sea is based on te information retrieved from the upward-directes radiation field. This paper discusses how the accuracy of the remote sensing signal is affected by optical coefficients, and by the vertical and horizontal distribution of subtances to be measured. Different approaches for the retrieval of wanted information from the signal are also proposed.Hlm. 227-24
