Alcance y contenido: The paper presents the second part of the study of the orchid illustrations produced during the Royal expedition to Peru and Chile, headed by Ruiz and Pavón in late XVIII century. Species of the genera included between Oncidium and Zygopetalum are discussed. For each taxon references to the nomenclatorial types, synonymy, illustrations and exsiccata prepared during the expedition, as well as to Ruiz' diaries and the unpublished manuscripts of the expedition's botanists, are provided. In the absence of any specimens referable to the type collections and associated with the protologues, Maxillaria ciliata and M. undatiflora are formally lectotypified with the type illustrations conserved in MA.
