Traditional varieties of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) are highly appreciated by consumers for their organoleptic qualities and cultural and historical values. In a context of strong competition from foreign markets resulting in low selling prices, these varieties are seen by local farmers as a strategy of differentiation. This work aims to select genotypes within the Penjar tomato (hanging tomato) landrace. Twelve pre-selected inbred lines and 11 experimental hybrids have been evaluated for their agronomic behavior.
