Martinez, Cal.June 27, 1893My dear PapaI received your letter from New York saying that you would start on the 24th for Europe so I suppose this letter will find you in Scotland or Spain or England or [s?]omewhere the other side of the Ocean You need not worry about Helen for she is very, very well and the weather very coole and deliteful , we have not had a single hot day since the 3d 09162 of June, as for cherries there are none, they have been gone for several days and there is no other fruit ripe yet. I hope that the Ocean will be free from storms and that you will have an enjoyable trip. Aunt Margaret and May have both been sick but are up and about now. Grandma is not at all well, but the rest of us are well, Mama\u27s eyes are better but they have been troubling her a great deal. I am so glad that you sent me that pretty little picture of Walden pond I have put it away so that itwill be safe from the dust. Aunt Margaret and May were over a few minutes ago on their way from Martinez, and they are feeling pretty well. Helen says to tell you that she never felt better in all her little life than she does now. Please write me a long letter again and tell me all about your trip and where you are going and every thing.
