Sob jura de sangue: os massacres de Corumbiara e a luta pela terra em Rondônia

This work aims to contribute to the reflection about agrarian conflicts in Rondônia, by drawing a historical parallel between the Corumbiara Massacre, which occurred in 1985, which occurred in 1995, and the new conflicts, highlighted in the last triennium. The study was developed in a qualitative approach, with a focus on the documentary method and theoretical anchoring in authors such as como Fernandes (2000, 2005), Lopes (2013), Martins (2000, 2010), Mesquita (2003), Medeiros (2000), Oliveira (2007) e Porto Gonçalves (1989, 2006), among others. The upsurge of the violence in the field points to the strengthening of the alliance between soil and the capital, the advanced of technology and agribusiness and the inefficiency of the State in providing social justice, in view of its alignment with the defense of the interests of capital.A violência contra trabalhadores rurais é crescente nos Estados da Amazônia Legal, sobretudo em Rondônia, onde há 17.099 famílias envolvidas em conflitos agrários, segundo dados da Comissão Pastoral da Terra (CPT, 2017). Este trabalho almeja contribuir para a reflexão sobre esse fenômeno, mediante elaboração de um paralelo histórico entre o Massacre de Corumbiara, ocorrido em 1985, o ocorrido em 1995, e os novos conflitos, assinalados no último triênio. O estudo foi desenvolvido em abordagem qualitativa, com fulcro no método documental e ancoragem teórica em autores como Martins (1999), Medeiros (2000) e Oliveira (2007).
