The article deals with the analysis of income inequalities in the population of the EU Member States. However, this basic view is related to the methodological aspect for assessing the level of income inequality in these countries. The most general approaches and indicators are used for analysis (their relevance for analysis is not called into question). However, the article rather focuses on their appropriate grasp.
