PLANTAS DEL ESTADO DE QUERÉTARO, MÉXICO CON POTENCIAL PARA USO ORNAMENTAL

This paper provides a list of the 235 speciesof vascular plants with ornamental potentialfrom of the State of Queretaro. They arefound in different vegetation types or growin waste or cultivated ground. A total of 74families, 140 genera, 211 species, 18 varieties and seven subspecies are identified.The structural component s with ornamentalvalue are, most importantly, the flowers andsecondarily, the fruits. The dicotyledonswith 147 species are the group of vascularplants best represented, and the gymnosperms with seven species are the group least84Núm. 24: 83-115 Noviembre 2007well represented. The families with thelargest number of species are Adiantaceae,Cactaceae and Leguminosae. The municipalities with largest number of species areLanda, Jalpan and Pinal de Amoles; thosewith the smallest number are Tequisquiapan,Villa Corregidora and Pedro Escobedo. Thevegetation types with the largest numberof species are Quercus forest, seasonaldeciduous forest and montane rain forest,and with the smallest number of species theAbies forest, Juniperus forest and rosettescrub (matorral rosetófilo). The majorityof the species come from the northern partof the state, which is located in the SierraMadre Oriental.El estado de Querétaro se encuentra ubicadoen el centro de México, esta entidadse encuentra incluida en tres regionesfisiográficas: la Altiplanicie Mexicana, laSierra Madre Oriental y el Eje NeovolcánicoTransversal. Se contribuyó al conocimientode los recursos vegetales ornamentalesdel estado mediante un listado de 235especies de plantas vasculares con potencialornamental, que se encuentran de manerasilvestre en algún tipo de vegetación ocomportándose como ruderales o arvenses;se obtuvieron un total de 74 familias, 140géneros, 210 especies, 18 variedades y sietesubespecies. El componente estructuralcon valor ornamental más representadofueron las flores, y el menor representadofueron los frutos. Las dicotiledóneas,con 147 especies, fueron el grupo deplantas vasculares mejor representado, y lasgimnospermas, con siete especies, fueronel grupo menor representado. Las familiasmejor representadas en función del númerode especies fueron Adiantaceae, Cactaceaey Leguminosae. Los municipios en los quese localizó el mayor número de especiesfueron Landa, Jalpan y Pinal de Amolesy en los que se localizó el menor númerode especies fueron Tequisquiapan, VillaCorregidora y Pedro Escobedo. Los tipos devegetación con mayor número de especiesfueron bosque de Quercus, bosque tropicalcaducifolio y bosque mesófilo de montaña,y con el menor número de especies fueronbosque de Abies, bosque de Juniperus ymatorral rosetófilo. El mayor número deespecies se localiza en el norte del estadode Querétaro, que se encuentra dentrode la provincia fisiográfica Sierra MadreOriental
