This thesis describes the design and implementation of a junior-level embedded microcontrollers laboratory course for the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). This is a one-credit course labeled EE3176 “Laboratory for EE3376”, and is the lab-based supplement to the three-credit lecture-based course, EE3376 “Microprocessors I”. The main focus of these courses is to introduce students to the architecture, programming and interfacing of microprocessor systems, with special emphasis on the hardware/software interface.
