Bibliotecas inclusivas, bibliotecas para todos

According to the laws, rules and regulations, public libraries should be exempt from architectural, human and material barriers. These barriers are still present in our equipment and they keep people with disabilities from using their services and book stock in the same way as the rest of the citizens. An analysis about the children document collection in the libraries of Malaga and Andalusia proves the lack of adapted materials needed in order to provide for their reading needs and their access to culture. This paper ends up with some guidelines that can make public libraries accessible and inclusive.Las bibliotecas públicas, según marcan las leyes, directrices y normativas, deberían estar exentas de barreras arquitectónicas, humanas y materiales. Unas barreras que persisten en nuestros equipamientos y que impiden que colectivos de personas con discapacidad utilicen sus servicios y fondos bibliográficos con normalidad, y en las mismas condiciones que el resto de ciudadanos. Un análisis de los fondos documentales infantiles de las bibliotecas de Málaga y de Andalucía evidencia la escasa presencia de materiales adaptados que cubran sus necesidades lectoras y de acceso a la cultura. Finaliza con unas pautas para conseguir que las bibliotecas públicas sean espacios accesibles e inclusivos
