While real gas models have been studied for simple reactions, their application to realistic combustion simulations remains limited. As such, conventions for their adoption and use in the combustion field are not well defined, which can be the source of confusion, error, and inconsistency in their application. This is due to the complexity of the equation of state at high pressures. The objective of this proposal, in a nutshell, is to develop a real gas kinetic chemistry for high pressure combustion. In doing so, we will include real gas effects and detailed kinetics into our formulation. A wide variety of reacting flows at high pressures will be considered, with focus on assessing the validity of the proposed kinetic chemistry model
