ESTUDO ECONÔMICO DO CULTIVO DE SOJA E SORGO SAFRINHA

The analysis of investments is of great relevance in the agricultural sector, because it is possible to identify how to apply resources and, above all, to monitor the competitive and dynamic market. The economic viability of soy and sorghum second season was studied in the municipality of Catalão, Goiás. This work was carried out from data collection and information on the technical coefficients for conducting cultures through local, regional research and interview with producers in the region. The costs were organized following the Effective Operating Cost (COE) and Total Cost (CT) structure. To determine the viability of crops, annual cash flows were used and economic indicators were applied: Net Present Value (NPV), Benefit/Cost Ratio (R B/C) and Discounted Payback, in addition to sensitivity analysis. The results obtained with the indicators for soybeans were: NPV of $724.16, B/C ratio equal to 1.05 and payback from the first year. For sorgo, the results were: NPV of $382.30, B/C R equal to 1.07 and payback in the first year. The cultivation of soybeans and sorghum second season in the region is an economically viable activity under the management conditions and cost methodology adopted.A análise de investimentos é de grande relevância no setor agrícola, pois é possível identificar como aplicar os recursos e, sobretudo, acompanhar o mercado competitivo e dinâmico. Estudou-se a viabilidade econômica da soja e sorgo safrinha no município de Catalão, Goiás. Este trabalho foi realizado a partir da coleta de dados e informações sobre os coeficientes técnicos para condução das culturas através de pesquisas locais, regionais e entrevista com produtores da região. Os custos foram organizados seguindo a estrutura de Custo Operacional Efetivo (COE) e Custo Total (CT). Para a determinação da viabilidade das culturas foi utilizado fluxos de caixas anuais e aplicados os indicadores econômicos: Valor Presente Líquido (VPL), Relação Benefício/Custo (R B/C) e Payback descontado, além da Análise de Sensibilidade. Os resultados obtidos com os indicadores para a soja foram: VPL de R$724,16, Relação B/C igual a 1,05 e payback a partir do primeiro ano. Para o sorgo, os resultados foram: VPL de R$382,30, R B/C igual a 1,07 e payback no primeiro ano. O cultivo de soja e sorgo safrinha na região é uma atividade economicamente viável sob as condições de manejo e metodologia de custo adotada
