This article discusses the purpose and method of transcribing the lute tablatures of the blind 16th-century lute player Giacomo Gorzanis from Trieste, as well as the meaning of lute tablatures, which in their original form bear significant instructions for player, as well as information about the music content.Članek problematizira namen in način transkribiranja lutenjskih tabulatur tržaškega lutnjista Giacoma Gorzanisa s srede 16. stoletja ter pomen tabulaturnega zapisa, ki v svoji izvirni obliki najpopolnejše združuje navodila za izvajalce in informacije o glasbeni vsebini
