This article aims to study the relations between the images and the verbal content of the texts “Brazilian Music”, “Brazilian Handmade LAce” e “Brazilian Dolls”, written respectively by Mário de Andrade, Nóbrega da Cunha and, probably, Cecília Meireles. These texts were published in magazine Travel in Brazil, in 1941-1942, that was edited by Cecília Meireles and financed by Department of Press and Propaganda (DIP) of the Vargas Government, which was responsible for disseminate the Brazilian culture in the exterior aiming to establish a flow of U. S. tourists to Brazil. The three texts remit to three distinct forms of art that are the music, the lace and the dolls, but together they valorize the Brazil as tourist destination.Este articulo ti...
