Objectives: The aim of the study was to compare how many patients with acute decompensated heart failure have iron deficiency or anemia and laboratory data between patients with acute decompensated heart failure when divided in groups based on iron and anemic status. Material and methods: This was a clinical, cross-sectional study, conducted between January 2018 and January 2019, that included a total of 60 consecutive patients with acute decompensation of chronic heart failure at Department of Cardiology of the University Hospital of Split.
