The biomicrobial production of molecules of interest can be improved by several engineering strategies. A metabolic pathway's efficiency depends principally on the enzymes inside the pathway. Indeed enzymatic engineering plays a central role in the conception of an efficient biomicrobial host. Gaining knowledge about the conception of synthetic enzymes and their characterization is essential.
