Overfishing affects the structures and dynamics of many marine ecosystems, as well as the associated ecosystem services. To tackle this issue, many scientists and managers are calling for an ecosystem-based fisheries management, integrating the complexity of harvested ecosystems, and based on ecological and economic sustainability objectives.
