Studies on detection of the incidence of citrus tristeza virus (CTV) in TRNC

K.K.T.C'de turunçgil yetiştiriciliği yapılan Güzelyurt, Magusa, ve Girne bölgelerinde CTV'nin yogunlugunu saptamak icin bir survey programı gercekleştirilmiştir. Surveye Vashington navel, Yafa, Valensiya portakalları, Marsh seedless altıntopu ve Klemantin mandarin çeşitleri dahil edilmiş ve toplam 15.492 agaç testlenmiştir. Güzelyurt bölgesinde ELISA testinde pozitif sonuc veren Yafa, Valensiya portakal, Marsh seedless altintop çeşitlerine DTBIA testi uygulanmış ve infekteli ağaç sayısı bulunmuştur. Bu bölgeden % 0.16 oraninda bir bulaşıklık değeri elde edilmiştir. Girne bölgesinden surveye dahil edilen turunçgil çeşitlerine ait bahçelerin kuruması nedeniyle bu bölgeden herhangi bir sonuç alınamamıştır. Magusa bölgesinde % 23.3 oranında bir infeksiyon değeri elde edilmiştir. Güzelyurt ve Magusa bölgelerindeki agaçlar % 0.34 oraninda bir bulaşıklık değeri göstermiştir.A survey program was conducted to determine the incidence of Citrus Tristeza Virus CTV on citrus growing areas in Morpho, Famagusta and Kyrenia in TRNC. The Washington navel, Jaffae, Valencia orange, Marsh seedless grapefruit and Clementine mandarin species were included the survey and 15.492 trees were totaly tested. In Mopho area, the Jaffae, Valencia orange, Marsh seedless grapefruit species which gave positive results in ELISA was applied DTBIA test and found the amount of infected trees. It was obtained a range of 0.16 % from this area. There wasn't any result obtained in Kyrenia area from the citrus species included in the survey program because the drought of the orchards. The infection rate was found 23.3 % in Famagusta area. In Famagusta and Morpho areas, the rate of the diseased trees showed a range of 0.34 %
