Faktör XII eksikliği, izole aktive kısmi tromboplastin zamanı uzaması ile karakterize olan ve klinik uygulamada beklenen kanama diyatezi yerine tromboz ve tromboemboliye yatkınlık oluşturan önemli bir hematolojik sorundur. Aortokoroner baypas greft cerrahisi planlanan 55 yaşındaki erkek hastada laboratuvar bulgusu olarak izole aktive kısmi tromboplastin zamanı yüksekliği (109.4 sn) saptandı. Faktör XII eksikliği tanısı konulan hasta kliniğimizde ameliyat edildi. Takip sırasında herhangi bir tromboembolik komplikasyon gelişmedi. Hasta ameliyat sonrası yedinci gün sorunsuz taburcu edildi.
