International audienceThis article addresses the following question: how to (i) teach a common language and (ii) recognize the cultural and linguistic diversity of French-speaking countries through the introduction of the concept of Francophonie in the classroom. Can we teach it? If yes-how, and who can do it? By relying on which contents? How to help "learners" to open up to the Francophone world despite globalization? How can teachers rely on the linguistic and cultural diversity of the French-speaking world to develop skills and knowledge with respect to the Francophone space and culture?
