Stingcoins captures the work of the Ward 7 sporting initiative in one of Madang’s settlements under the leadership of Awok Awok. We meet young men who through sports learnt to respect girls and how to better communicate with them. Girls participating in the sports initiative, on the other hand, have gained confidence in interacting with boys. The film shows Awok’s sporting project as an effective tool for GBV prevention among young people while creating a safer and more inclusive community for Ward 7. Yumi Kirapim Senis – Community Actions against Violence is a six part film series that captures the extraordinary work of individuals and organisations and their challenges in addressing gender-based violence (GBV) across Papua New Guinea
