Amaç: Bu çalışmada DMFT (çürük-kayıp-dolgulu diş sayısı) indeksine göre farklı çürük risk grubundaki genç yetişkin bireylerin daimi birinci büyük azı dişinde çürük görülme sıklığı ile oral hijyen faktörleri arasındaki ilişki değerlendirildi. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu çalışma için 18 yaşındaki 360 genç yetişkin birey değerlendirildi. Birinci büyük azı dişinin çürük tespiti Dünya Sağlık Örgütü (DSÖ) kriterleri kullanılarak yapıldı. Bireylerin genel çürük deneyimi (DMFT) baz alınarak 3 farklı risk grubu oluşturuldu. DMFT si 0-2 olanlar Düşük Risk (R1), 3-5 olanlar Orta Risk (R2), 6 veya daha fazla olanlar ise Yüksek Risk (R3) grubuna dahil edildi. İstatistik analiz için Chi-square testi kullanıldı.
