Ferron Teachers

This group photograph portrays three women, two younger and one older. The women are standing on dirt with a few leafless trees behind them in the distance. All three of the women have their hair pinned up and away from their faces. The woman on the far left of the photograph is wearing a high collared mid-tone dress that falls to her ankles. The woman in the middle has grey hair and wears a long sleeved dark dress with a high lightly colored collar and what appear to be light colored buttons down the center of the dress. The woman on the far right is dressed in a blouse and a long skirt. The blouse is light in color and appears to have a floral pattern. All three women are wearing dark shoes and standing with their arms behind their backs. The foreground is the dirt ground and behind the women there is a thin wire fence that is barely visible. Behind the women the only thing in the background are a few trees, a small portion of the horizon, and the bright cloudless sky.The photograph is in good condition and doesn't show too many signs of aging such as discoloration or tears. The only damage to it is a small bend in the upper left hand corner of the photograph. The only handwritten marks on the photograph are on the back in black ink and read, "Ferron Teachers Year 1912-13. Winifred E. Fitzhugh. Emily Flemming, Blanche Manly." "Winifred E.
