Presbyterian Teacher's Convention

This is a group photograph of approximately 85 men, women, and children who were attending the Presbyterian Teacher's Convention in Springville, Utah. All of the individuals are dressed in their Sunday best attire. Most of the men are dressed in dark suites. Many of the women are dressed in light tops with dark skirts. Others are dressed in dark dresses. The individuals in the back two rows are standing, the middle two rows are sitting, and there is a group of people sitting in the front on the grass. The photograph is taken at the side of a building. Four stained glass windows can be seen in back of the group being photographed. At the bottom of the photograph the following is printed in white capital letters: "PRESBYTERIAN TEACHERS CONVENTION SPRINGVILLE AUG. 1904."The photograph is mounted on a gray cardboard backing. The photograph is in good condition. The images of the people are all clear. The photograph does have some smudges and the upper left hand corner is torn. The cardboard backing has a torn corner and shows signs of wear around the edges. The following is written in pencil on the back of the photograph: "Note McNiece-Left front, Samuel Wishard 4th from Left, G.W. Martin Last man on the front Row, RDB" [R. Douglas Brackenridge]. Also written on the back in pencil is: "1136 Blane Ave. Salt Lake." The Giovale Library has four copies of this photograph. The quality of each photograph varies. Copy four includes the following: "Taken Springville, Utah, Aug. 26, 1904.
