With the steady growth of the Glines area it became necessary for a new chapel. In 1943 Bishop John B.Eaton authorized a building committee, headed by Don Batty, to organized fund raisers for the new chapel. In 1944 every man and boy of the ward worked during the summer months to get lumber from the mountains. A dance was also held at the Imperial Hall in February of that same year. Woodey Searle sponsored the dance and all the proceeds were donated to the building. On March 3, 1947, ward members gather, had a short devotional, and started to raze the building which had served their purposed for over fifty years.
