Leo Thorne was born in 1883 to George and Louisa Thorne. He began his carreer in photography in 1906 when he began developing film. He photographed people, places and things in the Uinta Basin for many years. He married Pauline Stonecypher in 1912. He was a prominent citizen of the area. He died in July 1969
