A group of St. Luke\u27s Youth works on a mailing of literature for the new Lutheran Haven in 1946. They are meeting in the wooden structure that had served as the congregation\u27s church until a brick sanctuary was erected in 1939. The old two-manual hand-pumped reed organ with a pedal keyboard can be seen at the upper left of the photo. It had once been purchased for the sum of $10 for the wooden church and shortly after this photo was taken, it was sold for the same amount!
