The article deals with theological discourse in Geneva in the 18th century, from Jean-Alphonse Turrettini, whose post-orthodox teachings brought about much controversy, to the theology of successive generations which the «Geneva » entry in the Encyclopédie described as of fundamentally Socinian inspiration. Analysis of three themes – individual interpretation of the Scriptures and the relationship to the Reformed tradition, the relationship between reason and Revelation, and the figure of Jesus – shows (even given certain commonalities) the complexity of the theology at that time and the difficulty of establishing links which are too direct with the liberal theology of the 19th century.L’article s’interroge sur la théologie genevoise du XVI...
