Max Okun Interview

Max Okun was born in New York on May 24, 1906. He co-founded The Sam Okun Produce Company in 1920 with his father Sam. It was one of Toledo's oldest family owned and operated businesses at the time of Max's death in 1997. At the time of the interview, he had recently celebrated 70 years of marriage with his wife, Ida. Mr. Okun was a member of Congregation Etz-Chayim and its Men's Club, The Temple Congregation Shomer Emunim, and the R.A.C., which honored him as "Man of the Year" in 1992.
