Gertrude (Stimson) Eaton was born on September 21, 1901 in Ashtabula, Ohio. She lived and worked there until her marriage in 1937 to Ellery Eaton, then she moved to Toledo. She was active at Trinity Episcopal Chruch and was a member of the daughters of Trinity. She volunteered at the local chapter of the American Red Cross. Mrs. Eaton was also a lifetime member of the Toledo Museum of Art and was active in several literary clubs. She died in Toledo on August 15, 1999 at the age of 97
