Arvine Wales who acted as foreman of Rotch's farm until Rotch's death in 1823 was an executor of the Rotch estate and continued to oversee his interests and those of Charity Rotch until her death in 1824. Wales organized the establishment of the Charity School at Kendal, one of Ohio's first vocational schools. In this series of 32 letters written to his son Arvine C.
