Introduction. Organ transplantation represents the best and frequently the unique therapeutic alternative for patients with end stage organ failure and other life limiting conditions. Therefore there is a wide and increasing gap between the number of patients waiting for a transplant and the number of patients that are indeed transplanted. As a result, the time on the waiting lists increases and patients may deteriorate or even die while waiting for an organ. Present situation require multidirectional action to eliminate stereotypes connected with the transplantology. Aim of the study.
