Ohgimachi Machiko is a concubine of Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu(1658〜1714, 柳沢吉保), he is an able official the fifth Tokugawa shogun Tsunayoshi(1646〜1709, 徳川綱吉).Machiko wrote a book named "Matsukage-Nikki"(松陰日記), the meaning of a word "The diary in the shade of a pine tree". In this book she wrote down Yoshiyasu\u27s luxury, often cited "The tale of Genji".Machiko\u27s father is Ohgimachi Kinmichi(1653〜1733, 正親町公通), her mother is Emon-no-suke(?〜1703, 右衛門佐), she comes of a noble Minase(水無瀬)family.
