Robert T. Pantzer speaks about three distinct phases of his time at the University of Montana (UM) from the 1930s to the 1970s. He remembers his student years as a carefree time where students had few responsibilities. He recalls serving in the U.S. military during World War Two, and then returning to UM to obtain a law degree. Pantzer mentions working for various law firms in Montana before coming back to UM as vice president and, later, as president. He describes the challenges he faced in both of those roles.
