He talks about traveling from there to Monroe, Washington where he found employment as a sawyer. Bodin describes the logging camps in which he worked and the process of taking down the trees. He recalls the beginning of the Great Depression which caused the logging camp to close. Bodin discusses unions like the IWW [International Workers of the World] and their attempts to push for better work conditions by organizing strikes.
