Armstrong discusses Robert Ridgeway who was a schoolteacher in Long Pine Hills in the 1890s. He talks about his current wife’s family who came from North Dakota. Armstrong recalls joining the Navy in World War Two and serving as a guard in a shipyard. He reminisces about the campaign speech he gave at a dance at Ben Mellum’s property. Armstrong also talks about how he enjoys cooking and was often the camp cook as a cowhand.
