This article is a philosophical approach about the specialization phenomenon centered on natural sciences. It will be mainly on the next specialization topics: 1. the context where the specialization phenomenon becomes notorious; tied to the professionalization process produced in science in the second half of XIX century. 2. The conceptualization of the specialization phenomenon through the hierarchy concept and the advantages and limitations of this approach. 3. The problem of the reliability of the specialists. 4. The way scientific knowledge is taught when it belongs to a specialization process. And finally, 5.
