The selection of repertoire for my piano recital is on a theme of Children and Fantasy. My recital begins with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Fantasia in C minor, K.396/ 385f which is based on the fragment of a violin sonata composed by Mozart in Vienna in August or September 1782. Only the first 27 measures were completed including a sketchy violin line which first enters five measures before the end of the section. This was revised and published in 1802 by Maximilian Stadler, an Austrian composer, musicologist and pianist.
