Occurrence of Paysandisia archon Burmeister, 1880, in the Paris region (Lepidoptera, Castniidae). The Lepidoptera Castniidae Paysandisia archon is native to South America where the caterpillar lives on palm trees. It was accidentally introduced to Spain in the years 1985-1995 and then in different countries of Southern Europe where it became a pest. It is reported here in Paris.Couturier Guy.
