Liberty According to Luther and According to the French Revolution Which points were held in common, and what were the differences between the 16th century Reformation and the French Revolution, especially with respect to the concept of liberty ? The first part of the article will study, under this angle, the approaches of the 19th century. In the second part, an approach is proposed which is based on the historical and theological viewpoints of today. Differences will be underlined, particularly those due to two distinct visions of mankind, and at the same time a certain convergence between the Reformation and the Revolution, notably in their respective consequences.Quels points communs et quelles différences y a-t-il entre la Réformation...
