International audienceThe article presents the results of qualitative research which, from the experienceof teachers enrolled in graduate education studies, contributes to the configurationof the theoretical and methodological corpus of educational social mapping[cartografía social pedagógica (csp)]. Based on what happened and what wasobserved in fourteen workshops and feedback from the teachers involved, someparticularities of the csp were presented and some comprehensive routes thathighlighted the similarities and differences between participatory and socialmapping were proposed.
