Rain interception by caatinga vegetation of the microcatchment in cearense semiarid = Interceptação da chuva pela vegetação da caatinga em microbacia no semiárido cearense

The objective of this study was to quantify and evaluate the losses of precipitation by interception by the vegetation in one area experimental with caatinga preserved semiarid in cearense. The experiment was performed in one experimental watershed located in the municipality of Iguatu, Ceará. The area suffers no anthropic interference for more than 20 years, presenting high level of conservation covered with vegetation of the type Caatinga of trees and shrubs. The area comprises measurement interception 10 x 10 m where 172 trees were cataloged with average diameter of 9.6 cm. Was registered total the precipitation by means of a pluviometer installed in an open area. For determination of internal precipitation were usedten pluviometers installed under the vegetation. The monitoring of the 39 rain events indicates that the internal precipitation,the stem flow and the interception losses corresponding to 76.5%, 5.9% and 17.9% of the precipitation, respectively. The correlations in the dry period and in the rainy period are different for the interception losses and precipitation, showing a different behavior depending on the time of year. The linear relationship suggests that the mechanism of internal precipitation is more important and has a higher correlation with precipitation than the stem flow and interception losses. As the heights pluviometric increased, have not diminished by interception losses, it was confirmed dividing itself the events into four classes: 40 mm. ResumoObjetivou-se com este trabalho quantificar e avaliar as perdas de precipitação por interceptação pela vegetação em uma área experimental com caatinga preservada no semiárido cearense. O experimento foi realizado em uma microbacia experimental localizada no município de Iguatu, Ceará. A área não sofre interferência antrópica há mais de 20 anos, apresentando elevado nível de conservação por cobertura com vegetação do tipo Caatinga arbóreo-arbustiva. A área de mediçãoda interceptação compreende 10 x 10 m onde foram catalogadas 172 árvores com diâmetro médio de 9,6 cm. Registrou-se a precipitação total por meio de um pluviômetro instalado em área descampada. Para a determinação da precipitação interna foram utilizados dez pluviômetros instalados sob a vegetação.O monitoramento dos 39 eventos chuvosos indica que, a precipitação interna, o escoamento pelos troncos e as perdas por interceptação correspondem a 76,5%, 5,9% e 17,9% da precipitação, respectivamente. As correlações no período seco e no período chuvoso são diferentes para as perdas por interceptação e aprecipitação, evidenciando um comportamento diferente em função da época do ano. As relações lineares sugerem que o mecanismo da precipitação interna é mais importante e possui maior correlação com a precipitação do que o escoamento pelo tronco e perdas por interceptação.
