Las prácticas de gestión empresarial, innovación y emprendimiento: factores influyentes en el rendimiento de las firmas emprendedoras

The main objective is to know the joint influence of business management practices, innovation and entrepreneurship on the performance of entrepreneurial firms in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Method: The methodological design was quantitative, explanatory, observational and transversal, where a sample of 304 young entrepreneurs was obtained. A structural equation model (SEM) was developed through the statistical software Mplus v.7.0. STATA v.12 was used to analyze the data. As for the SEM goodness and adjustment indexes (χ2=1656.156 gl= 921; CFI = 0.914 y TLI=0.908; RMSEA= .05) they were absolutely acceptable (Jöreskog & Sörbom, 1981; Muthén & Muthén, 1998-2007; Rigdon, 1996). Results: According to the findings found in the research, it is proven that management practices and business entrepreneurship have a positive and significant influence on innovation, entrepreneurship and the performance of the entrepreneurial firm. In the same way, innovation has a positive and significant influence on business entrepreneurship. Likewise, innovation, business entrepreneurship and the performance of the firm have a positive and significant influence as mediating variables between business management practices and production performance, both financial and non-financial, of entrepreneurial firms. Discussion or Conclusion: A model is proposed that allows to guarantee the success of the entrepreneurial firms through the entrepreneurial performance of the entrepreneurial firms. In this way, the findings are relevant and of great value since currently there are not enough investigations that are focused on the analyzed variables.El objetivo principal radica en conocer la influencia conjunta de las prácticas de gestión empresarial, la innovación y emprendimiento empresarial sobre el rendimiento de las firmas emprendedoras del estado de Guanajuato, México. Método: El diseño metodológico fue cuantitativo, explicativo, observacional y transversal, donde se obtuvo una muestra de 304 jóvenes emprendedores. Se desarrolló un modelo de ecuación estructural (SEM) a través del software estadístico Mplus v.7.0. Para el análisis de los datos se empleó STATA v.12. De acuerdo con los índices de bondad y ajuste del modelo SEM (χ2=1656.156 gl= 921; CFI = 0.914 y TLI=0.908; RMSEA= .05) fueron absolutamente aceptables (Jöreskog & Sörbom, 1981; Muthén & Muthén, 1998-2007; Rigdon, 1996). Resultados: De acuerdo con los hallazgos obtenidos en la investigación, se comprueba que las prácticas de gestión y el emprendimiento empresarial influyen positiva y significativamente sobre la innovación, el emprendimiento y el rendimiento de la firma emprendedoras. De igual manera, la innovación influye positiva y significativamente sobre el emprendimiento empresarial. Asimismo, la innovación, el emprendimiento empresarial y el rendimiento de la firma influyen positiva y significativamente como variables mediadoras entre las prácticas de gestión empresarial y el rendimiento en la producción, financiero y no financiero de las firmas emprendedoras. Discusión o Conclusión: Se propone un modelo que permite garantizar el éxito de las firmas emprendedoras a través del rendimiento empresarial de las firmas emprendedoras. De esta manera, los hallazgos son relevantes y de gran valor ya que actualmente no hay suficientes investigaciones que estén enfocadas en las variables analizadas
