State officials on Wednesday issued a health advisory warning pregnant women, nursing mothers and children to limit their intake of fish from Maine\u27s lakes and ponds, and in so doing Maine became one of at least 30 states nationwide to issue warnings about mercury in fish. Some residents say the warning won\u27t affect their fishing or fish-eating habits, while others are troubled by the news that Maine\u27s lakes and ponds are polluted with hazardous amounts of mercury.
