Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast is developing the Penobscot Shores project, a $5 million hospital-affiliated retirement project that will eventually contain 77 units in one building and 20 cottage units in eight smaller buildings on a 20-acre site overlooking Penobscot Bay. The project is being developed in conjunction with Atlantic Retirement Communities of Massachusetts, which has worked on three similar projects in Maine. Fifteen percent of the units will be designed to sell for under $100,000. Details
