Article about describing the Eyrie, a large Tudor estate at Seal Harbor that was bought in 1910 by John D. Rockefeller and his wife, Abby, to be used a summer retreat for themselves and their children. The couple paid $26,000 for the 65-room Eyrie, which they then renovated and enlarged to hundred rooms with the help of architect Duncan Candler.
