L.L. Bean dropped plans to build a call center in Oakland\u27s First Park after Washington-based T-Mobile USA decided to build a customer service contact center there. Bean\u27s center would have replaced an existing one in Waterville. Bean does not know how many of its seasonal workers in Waterville will take jobs with T-Mobile, which might hire 700 full-time workers. Bean hired 800 seasonal employees in Waterville this year, 300 more than last year. Bean is working with the state to evaluate Waterville\u27s labor situation and explore other locations
