Community colleges today face a challenging mix of flat or declining resources at a time of increasing expectations and demands. Access and affordability, long standing pillars of the community college movement, are threatened by the economic climate as well as the “New Normal” expectations of higher productivity through increased completion rates. This study examined how cross-functional teams could contribute to increased efficiency and effectiveness through the realization of improved strategic performance in community colleges.
