SUMMARYSyphilis is a notifiable and preventable disease, congenital syphilis more so. Consequently,attention has been recently focused on prenatal diagnosis of foetal syphilis by the useof ultrasonography apart from the conventional serologic screening. Congenital syphilishas not been reported from the Kingdom of Lesotho.
