Restauración del Diente Endodonciado

Endodontics is a treatment to repair and save a severely damaged or infected tooth instead of removing it. The procedure consists in removing the damaged area of the tooth (the pulp), cleaning and disinfecting it, and then filling and sealing it. Common causes that affect the pulp: cracked teeth, deep cavities, repeated dental treatment or trauma. The name of the treatment in English, "root canal" (endodontics), comes from the cleaning of the channels inside the root of the tooth.
