Add to ORKGThe paper focuses on Jordan\u27s extreme case of female inequality through researching instances of honor crimes. The study includes a discussion of the honor/shame complex in Jordan, traditions that fortify honor and shame, and how honor definitions differ within the Jordanian society. My sources include an interview conducted with a police officer from the family protection department, a comparison of two book addressing Jordanian traditions, and an analysis of online comments to newspaper articles on instances of honor crimes.
